In August we were also fortunate that Jason was awarded a cruise -for a job well done at work. Quite a few other "Cargill" employees were also awarded this same honor so we got to spend some time on a BIG boat in the ocean - between California and Mexico.
This little guy got to spend some one-on-one time with Nonni and Pop. . . as you can tell from his expression - he is ALL torn up about our leaving!
Just a few examples of typical ways to spend time at Nonni and Pop's house. . .
Jason thought it would be nice to spend a couple of extra days before our boat left in Orange County, CA so we could "look around" and also spend a bit of time with Cara. This was our view on the bench where we met up with her.

The cruise was fun - and all - and thankfully now we know we don't need to cruise anywhere - except maybe Alaska. . . and in all honesty - we had more fun - just the two of us - in the 6 hours between when we got OFF the boat and before we could get on our airplane. . . Jason rented a car and we took a whirlwind tour of Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. We ate lunch at CPK across from the Kodak Theater, walked by some stars - on the sidewalk, and just enjoyed each others' company.
